Austin’s Real Estate Market Hits Another Milestone!
The Austin area real estate market has broken yet another record this year. The median price of a single-family home in May 2019 hit an all-time high of $407,400! The overall median price for these homes was up 4% while the number of days they stayed on the market averaged the same year-over-year at 48 days. While these numbers are on the rise, as well as the number of homes sold and a number of homes pending, the area’s inventory staggered just slightly. Listings entering the market and those actively being sold both decreased by 1%. Overall, Austin has 2.6 months worth of inventory, creating a balanced market as Austinites head into the high heat of summer.
