How To Update Your Outdoor Space For Spring

Spring is officially here, and we’re sure you’re ready for warm weather and spending time outside! After the crazy winter we had in Austin, you probably need to do a little sprucing up to your outdoor patio or deck, and maybe a few updates are on your to-do list, too!

Let’s look at a few ways to transform your outdoor space and make it the perfect hangout spot for the warmer months ahead!

Update Your Color Palette

Freshen up your outdoor space with some bright-colored pillows or furniture. Adding flowers to your landscaping is an easy way to add pops of color and brighten up your space. If you want to take it one step further, adding a pergola or umbrella to match your decor adds more color and some much-needed shade from the sunshine.

Enhance Your Privacy

When you spend time outside, you want privacy for yourself and your guests. Adding a privacy fence, a privacy wall, or even planting tall trees to create space between you and your neighbors creates a more intimate setting.

Add A Firepit Or Fireplace

People love spending time around a fire regardless of how warm it is outside. Adding a firepit or fireplace creates a perfect focal point for people to gather around and have conversations. It’s also great for making s’mores, and who doesn’t love s’mores?

Install A Water Feature

Water features add to the ambiance and serenity of your outdoor space. Not only do they look beautiful, but the sound of moving water creates a calmness that’s perfect for relaxing outside on a hammock or a lawn chair on a beautiful day.

Add An Outdoor Bar/Kitchen

People tend to gather around food and drinks, so having an outdoor bar/kitchen area keeps the conversations going instead of having to go in and out. These tend to be a little more expensive and take more time, but they also are great for your resale value!

Spring is a wonderful season because it’s the start of warm weather and more time spent outside. If you are looking for recommendations on preparing your outdoor space for Spring, please reach out to us! We would love to be a resource for you!
